While the construction helps make it more feedback resistant than a fully carved archtop, it works quite well as an acoustic archtop. The neck is a medium C-shape, and is very comfortable in the hand. The playability is superb with low action and clear ringing notes all over the fretboard. It is an identical guitar, other than the name and the D'Aspiranto has nicer, figured woods that the Peerless version does not. It's my understanding that this model was a special order run that actually preceded the Peerless New York. The original owner clearly took very good care of this guitar. It shows only very light surface scratches, all of which could easily be buffed out if desired.

I also have a Cherry Red one which will be going up for sale. There is barely a mark on it but for sake of arguement it has small marks and light signs of playing wear and the original hard case has plenty of scuffs and marks.These guitars are lovely looking, great sounding and excellent players and are now starting to command a decent price, there are several on ebay US for over £800 new.This one is not too old, I think from the last few years but there doesn't seem to be a way of dating them. The Peerless Epiphones are regarded as the best of the Korean made ones and in my opinion these own brand are even better.This sunburst Songbird, obviously styled on the Casino is a great guitar.
